Lephalale – Marlothii Learning Academy not only believes in strong academic work, but also believe that learning could occur while having fun, and the result was nothing short of inspiring. Learners participated in a series of activities that encouraged creativity, confidence, and emotional self-expression—core values that the academy believes are vital for healthy childhood development. From finger-painting and music-making to story-writing and expressive drama games, each day gave learners a chance to discover their voice and explore different forms of communication. “It’s not just about fun—though we had plenty of that,” explained a teacher. “It’s about giving our learners tools to express themselves, build confidence, and connect with their emotions.” The week culminated in a small exhibition where parents were invited to view the children’s art and enjoy performances. Many were moved to tears, watching their children shine in ways they hadn’t seen before. This new tradition will now take place each term as part of the school’s commitment to holistic education—one that celebrates academic growth alongside emotional resilience and personal expression.
